AS PART OF THE VEGAN PLANET FAIR AT THE MAK - AUSTRIAN MUSEUM OF APPLIED ART / CONTEMPORARY ART - THIS YEAR WIENER WÜRZE WAS CHOSEN VEGAN PRODUCT OF THE YEAR.
The seven-person jury was able to award prizes in three categories from almost 100 new products from 60 companies. In the food category, the visual (content & packaging) and taste impression, innovation & added value for vegans, sustainability (ingredients, packaging), attractiveness for non-vegans and health aspects were evaluated. The top-class jury included, among others, nutritionist Mag. a Katharina Petter, geophysicist and food scientist Mag. Dr. Kurt Schmidinger ( futurefood.org ), as well as the blogger ( thebirdsnewnest.com ) and head of an advertising agency Mag. a FH Edda Pascher.
The jury selected the following from all applications Viennese spice for Vegan Product of the Year 2018 chosen. The jury particularly emphasized not only the innovation and taste, but also our commitment to sustainability. The short transport routes of the organic, regional raw materials and the use of renewable energy also scored particularly well here.
